Finding PF21
« on: January 21, 2012, 05:40:45 AM »
Hi, any idea where PF21 is? It is the dock at Misty's Place. Looking for a place to tie up alongside.

The only option that I have in Misty's Place at the moment is the active runway.

PF21 has an AFCAD file which sets you automatically to this area.
There's a mooring at the lighthouse.

If the scenery has a "PFxx" in the title you should be able to find it in the "Go To Airport" screen of FSX this will allow you to start from that location.

I think I've caused confusion - what I mean is - in which scenery download will I find it? I've installed Misty's Place, Misty's Old Yacht Club and Aiken Creek Camp. There are 50-odd more to go and not all of them have descriptions that I could search.

PF21 is called Misty's Seaplane Dock but I can't see it on the scenery list, I have the file of course as I made it, if you are stuck I can send it to you, but maybe Doug knows where it is stashed on the site?

PF21 is included in the "RTMM Airports" package.  Misty's seaplane base is just the water strip at Misty's place.  There is a dock at the lighthouse, and a dock at the end of the Misty's runway.  There are red and green bouys in the water near the lighthouse that mark the water strip.   I just found out PF21 comes in the RTMM airports download.

The pictures:
1)  I typed "PF21" in the ICAO box to get this list.
2)  Searching for "PF21" in the Addon Scenery folder produced this file.

Hey - it's finding that RTMM Airports package that is now the challenge - too much cold and whiskey :)

I've searched the site from top to bottom, or left to right and I just cannot find the RTMM Airports pack. Please provide a link.

Thanks

That would be very kind but I think I'll need the entire RTMM Airports pack :)

Hi Albereth,
Try installing the "AI floatplane" package.
http://www.return.mistymoorings.com/enhancements/zipfiles/AI%20Float%20Traffic%20V1.3.zip

I think the procedure is to create your own "RTMM Airports/scenery/" folder within your Addon scenery folder, and put the included bgl files into it.  then add that to your scenery library above the FTX entries.  There's a readme included, and the package was created by Kim and Dex.

ps -  The "RTMM Airports" is just what I called mine, and it probably should've been more accurately called "AI Float traffic for Mistys" or something like that.  Whatever you call the container, be sure to create a "scenery" subfolder in it for the bgl files to be put into.  And activate it in your FSX scenery library.

LOL at naming things.

Right - I now have a Seaplane Dock. Thank you very much.

But I am going to tie a boat up to it :)

Nice one Jeff, I did not remember that it was all part of the seaplane traffic set!

Isn't it great to see Kim around again. And Xavier is back too. I'm all gushy inside right now. I love this place.

Welcome back old friends and new ones too!
