Have you guys seen this beauty? PMDG's 737 NGX, due to be released within the next week or so. I've never seen such detail on a flightsim model. It looks like every single switch and button in the cockpit is clickable or pressable and actually
does something! They even modelled fingerprints and dust on the monitors! The
introduction video on the cockpit alone is over an hour long and he's just turning things on and off! This is also just the Beta model so I can't imagine what the release version is going to be like! Guess it didn't hurt to have an official connection to Boeing during development.
http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/flightblogger/2011/07/movie-monday---july-25---insid.htmlAs much as I love GA and bush flying,
this is the one thing I'd like to try in flightsimming, even if I'm only able to do it once. I have a couple of PMDG's FS9 aircraft, which are gorgeous, but due to circumstances mostly beyond my control, I was unable to spend the time learning to fly them and now my computer is too senile to even attempt it (it's
11 years old!). With a powerful new system within reach and although I much prefer the older variants of the 737 (-200, -300, -400), this has 'Buy me!' written all over it. It also doesn't hurt that it's my favourite airliner. At least I can fly it in the PNW/PFJ area with prototypical Alaska Airlines livery (if I'm able to get it off the ground, that is!)!
Cheers,
Mike
