PAWG Wrengall: NSS vs. DC Scenery Design?

I already have PAWG Wrengall by DC Scenery Design. I see the version by Northern Sky Studio (NSS) is discounted in the current Marketplace sale, which has piqued my interest. I was wondering how users of the NSS version rate it please? Also, is there anyone out there who has both and is willing to compare them please? Many thanks.

BTW, I'd be generally curious regarding any other NSS vs. DC Scenery Design airfield vs. Realworld Scenery (or any other Devs) for duplicate Alaskan airfields please.

Don't really know for sure but NSS version of PAWG is almost two years newer than the DC Scenery Design version and as per the inbuilds features page has more detail etc:

Key Features

    The most detailed replica of airport buildings and vehicles
    Custom surroundings
    All materials created for full PBR
    Shading and occlusion (texture baking) effects on all airport buildings & high-resolution building textures
    Use of native, highly efficient gITF models
    Custom orthophoto for the airport and surrounding areas 

But it is over 4.25 gb when installed.. so much more of everything.  whereas the DC Scenery Designs version is only 183 mb when installed.


So both versions have their own unique features and benefits. However, Northern Sky Studio’s version is more recent and has a higher rating on simMarket 15.

But saying that, if you already own PAWG by dc scenery designs, in my pea mind, there is not much benefit of getting another version of same airport unless you are flying there a lot, want the improved eye candy and have the room on the hard drive.

I went ahead and bought the NSS version of Wrangell (and Sitka) in the Marketplace Black Friday Sale... and I'm glad I did! the NSS version definitely contains more detail than DC Scenery Designs.

First, here are some of my screenshots from DC Scenery Designs version, staring with an overview of the runway and what appears to be a wooded densely area (with some random buildings inside) on the seaward side. Compare this area to the non-wooded area with detailed buildings and radome in NSS, shown later...





Here are some very generic building in the area up above and behind the airfield. Again, compare to NSS later...



This area looks very plain (not so in NSS)...



In this version the terminal is exterior only (NSS has a nice interior)...

In short, my recommendation is to get the NSS version, especially if you can catch it in a sale event
