New MSFS Express Link 2 May 23, unable to access, Google states site is unavailable?
Ignore this have just tried the link again and it is now working.
Did try to manually update but Misty's had no buildings so am going for a complete uninstall and reinstall New.
After full Express install, I don't have any Buildings at Misty`s???
Deleted Cache, FS CFG, and Scenery Index.
All appears Okay in other areas such as Oz.
I use Addon linker and have all my scenery separated, except I have Alaska scenery and RTMM combined?
Any Advice Please?????

Regards

Hey there BJ.   As far as your missing buildings at PF20, not sure what is happening there, that is if the sim cache has been purged, (rollingcache.CCC if you have a manual cache file), and the sceneryindexes folder deleted.

Also use the Latest Express link ..  https://tinyurl.com/2t4h9psw  It is complete and all working as intended.

If you're using single pieces, need Mistys v2.2  and Libs Part 2 v1.1. (and remove test Lib).

Well I downloaded the New Express Install, and still the buildings at Misty`s didn't appear, just smoke rising from where chimney's should have been on buildings.
I removed the z from in front of those RTMM files and all of a sudden, the buildings appeared.
I took off from Misty`s and flew back around to come into land and the buildings are gone, just the smoke rising from missing buildings.

I'll keep trying as I believe it's a simple solution.
This has me stumped but will soldier on regardless and keep you in the loop.

SIM ISSUE
« Reply #11 on: May 05, 2023, 08:58:49 AM »
Ok BJ Something is definitely weird or corrupt in your system.
(Note: The z prefix on the libs ensures that they are loaded last as the priority items)

This to be a cache issue, an indexes listing issue or something corrupt or interfering.
What version of MSFS? Store or Steam?

Make sure you have z_rtmm-objectlib-part-1-v0.5.1 and z_rtmm-objectlib-part-2-v1.1 ON as well as rtmm-mistys-place-jdl-v2.2 ON  and check that you have removed the previous version. specifically the old test lib old part 2 libs and that the previous version of Misty's is deleted.. then clean your cache.

When you clean your cache and misc items do this:
In the sim (General Options > Data)  create a manual rollingcache file instead of the sim auto-cache (8gb).

Once created close the sim and do the following to clean up sim and cache:

delete SIM folder.... LocalCache\SceneryIndexes
delete SIM file... LocalCache\rollingcache.CCC
delete SIM file... LocalCache\FlightSimulator.cfg
delete SIM file... LocalCache\Content.xml (ONLY IF you have not customized scenery priority)

Delete windows temp files:
C:\Windows\Prefetch\*.*
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\*.*
C:\Windows\Temp\*.*
... \AppData\Local\Temp\*.*
(Note: Skip any that cannot be deleted as they are in use by the system)

Delete GPU Cache:
IE NVidia:
delete files
...\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache\*.*
...\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\GLCache\*.*
(Note: Skip any that cannot be deleted as they are in use by the system)

Then
1. RUN Windows Disk Cleanup on system OS (C:) Drive to clean up other temp files. (delete all)
2. RUN Windows Disk Cleanup on system OS (C:) Drive again and select Clean up system files. (delete all)

NEXT:
Turn all sim add-ons OFF. If using linker, unlink all. (Or if not, rename the Community to Community.OFF) And start the sim as default (vanilla). Load any flight. Then close the sim.

NEXT:
Now turn on the RTMM scenery package by itself. (If using Linker, check that there are NO invalid links. if so delete the invalid links then unlink and re-link RTMM Folder items.  (For this run, do Not use any other add-ons, except the RTMM package).

Load a flight starting at PF20.   Do you see the buildings?

It seems that there is an error with the file "rtmm-spb-jj-v1.05" contained in the express folder, it is not recognized by addon linker and indicates a problem reading the file Jason, in downloading separately in the individual scenes the problem does not appear and addon linker reads it without problem.

The procedure I use when installing a new RTMM express download:

- clear all links in AddonLinker
- delete old RTMM folders.
- copy new download
- generate all links in AddonLinker.

Also: Maybe you should try to test with no other addons in the Community folder than RTMM.

Hi Norm,
I have followed your advice to the letter.
Still with the same result.
What I have have noticed, is that the only z_RTMM files that appear in LocalCache are the ObjectLibs part 1 and 2.
The ai boats, effects, ai plane objects do not appear in LocalCache.
Could this be my problem???

I am downloading those files manually, ai boats is showing up as v0.2.3 not v0.2.4 and the traffic file will not download manually??
