The Beaver is Back!!!

Yeah, we finally have a Beaver for RTMM again.  I've spent a couple of hours in it. It handles BEAUTIFULLY!  I wish they would have put a better navigation system in it, I hate "twisting" the knobs to get a "Direct To" etc. But I solved that problem by downloading the PMS50  GPS750 (free). It doesn't go onto the dashboard, but in its window, you can TYPE IN your destination, etc. It also gives you terrain and many other great features. (If we could get that to show up in the (rather useless) IPad they have it would be great.

Hi all,

Installed the 40th Anniversary update this morning and all went well, uninstalled alot off crap I never will use rebooted the pc and went for a spin with the Beaver without addons and she flies very great, so quit the sim and put the addons back in the Community folder and reloaded the sim all went fine, no hickups.

Just like Karl I setup the Beaver in old style and cargo, this plane flies very easy and finally a plane which behaves also great on the water. 

Tomorrow the DC-3 comes out off the hangar, fingers crossed.

I've got mine set up for passengers, using the GPS (rather than radios). It really flies very well indeed. I tried the DC3 ... not a fan of that one so far!  I could fly it, but touchy. If you want to use the autopilot, I recommend downloading the GPS750 from PMS50 (free). Use that to set up your flight plan. You can use that using the keyboard instead of twisting the knobs on the one that comes with the beaver. Once done, collapse the 750 and the flight plan is "in" the beaver's gps.

The Beaver is in MSFS (new) as of the SU11 40th Anniversary update that was released on Friday Nov 11th.
