I am running FSX-SE with Windows 10 on a computer that was a real beast in its day (a 12-year-old JetLine), but its day, like mine, was long ago. I admit that I have a LOT of scenery, but loading times for the sim have increased way past what my patience can handle.
I have read that I should delete the scenery.cfg file for the sim and let FSX rebuild a new one but I am having trouble identifying what scenery.cfg to mess with. I have found at least 3 of them lurking around in my computer. Which one is the one I delete for FSX-SE (which is the only FSX install I have), and is that really what needs to be done? I hope someone can help me with this.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry
