I spent a lot of time in Campinas.  Was lucky enough to do Carnival in Rio,  and spent a glorious week going up the Paternal starting off in Corumba.  I made bi-yearly trips for business.  I so enjoyed the food,  the culture and of course the people.  Some of my favorite memories are from Brasil.
