Hello,

The tires of my C185f looks flat. How can I solve this problem?

thats easy , you have to have advanced animations checked in your fsx display settings....my old computer cant handle advanced animations so i just live with it...cheers and welcome WeDGe ;D

Hee hee ... I kept reading your post as "look fat" instead of flat.  How do they look on a hard surface runway?  Of course tundra tires are low pressure 'flotation' tires to increase the tire footprint so in real life they do appear to be under inflated.  You can probably tweak the contact points in the aircraft.cfg file to raise the A/C up a bit but that is about all I know.

On concrete and asphalt it is the same. Other aircraft (with /without tundratire's) do not have this.
You said that I could change the contactpoints in the aircraft.cfg but what do I have to chanche? I see a lot of numbers but I do not know what it means.
I have copied the contactpoint-part of the Aircraft.cfg :

[contact_points]
static_pitch = 9.0
static_cg_height = 3.5
gear_system_type=4
max_number_of_points = 9

tailwheel_lock=1
point.0 = 1, -22.35, 0.0, -0.70, 2500, 0, 0.42, 60, 0.15, 2.5, 0.6, 0, 0, 0
point.1 = 1, -2.67, -3.4, -4.11, 2500, 1, .90, 0, 0.38, 2.5, 0.6, 0, 0, 2
point.2 = 1, -2.67, 3.4, -4.11, 2500, 2, .90, 0, 0.38, 2.5, 0.6, 0, 0, 3

point.3 = 2, -4.60, -17.0, 3.80, 1500, 0, 0.00, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 5, 0, 0 //LW
point.4 = 2, -4.60, 17.0, 3.80, 1500, 0, 0.00, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 6, 0, 0 //RW
point.5 = 2, 1.2, 0.0, -2.2, 1500, 0, 0.00, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 9, 0, 0 //tail
point.6 = 2, 1.2, 0.0, -2.2, 1500, 0, 0.00, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 4, 0, 0 //Fslg
point.7 = 2, -18.75, 0.0, 6.45, 1500, 0, 0.00, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 7, 0, 0 //Aux1
point.8 = 2, -14.12, 0.0, 0.01, 1500, 0, 0.00, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 8, 0, 0 //Aux2

What do I have to chance?

addy,
I'll have to research the answer so be patient and carry an air pump till we get it sorted.  Real Live kind of gets in the way sometimes.

It's not the contact points, but the center of gravity.  Try raising it  up a little.  (by ".1")

static_cg_height = 3.5 -->static_cg_height = 3.6

Here's the difference of ".2" on my beaver's tundra tires.

Addy,
after looking over the points in your post, comparing them to the original contact points in the C185 I downloaded from Carenado the figures are different.  I know there have been some updated Aircraft.cfg and AirFiles that Carenado has made.

Now for the bump in the road.  I have modified files for my Carenado C-185's.  The do not make the tires look under inflated on my sim.

There are .cfg and airfiles available from the Bushpound site that will make the C185 fly almost exactly like the real airplane.  One thing these files do though is to make the gear extremely bouncy and the points need to be altered to counteract that tendency.

I would download the ultimate_185.zip

From:  http://bushpounder.com/home/?page_id=74

On that page click Aircraft, then Piston Aircraft, then The Ultimate C-185 (FSX)(41.3 KiB)

A read me file will explain what to do with the files. You have a zip file for each of the Bush C-185 aircraft.

  I am going to copy and paste the contact points I have that dampen the bouncy landing gear.  Use these IF you modify the airfile and .cfg file with the new files, other wise I would not touch the contact points you have.

EDIT:
I see Jeff just posted a reply that mentioned the center of gravity that the airfile in the download will alter among many other things.

[contact_points]
static_pitch = 9.0
static_cg_height = 3.5
max_number_of_points = 9
gear_system_type=4
tailwheel_lock=1
                                                                  //  8     9   10
point.0 = 1, -21.6,   0.0, -0.80, 1200, 0, 0.65, 60, 0.10, 2.5, 0.30, 0, 0, 0, 0, 140
point.1 = 1, -2.95,  -3.5, -4.20, 2000, 1, 0.75,  0, 0.22, 2.5, 0.50, 0, 0, 2, 0, 140
point.2 = 1, -2.95,   3.5, -4.20, 2000, 2, 0.75,  0, 0.22, 2.5, 0.50, 0, 0, 3, 0, 140
point.3 = 2, -4.60, -17.0,  3.28, 1500, 0, 0.00,  0, 0,      0,    0, 0, 0, 5, 0, 0 //LW
point.4 = 2, -4.60,  17.0,  3.28, 1500, 0, 0.00,  0, 0,      0,    0, 0, 0, 6, 0, 0 //RW
point.5 = 2,   1.2,  0.0,   -2.2, 1500, 0, 0.00,  0, 0,      0,    0, 0, 0, 9, 0, 0 //tail
point.6 = 2,   1.2,  0.0,   -2.2, 1500, 0, 0.00,  0, 0,      0,    0, 0, 0, 4, 0, 0 //Fslg
point.7 = 2, -18.75,  0.0,  6.45, 1500, 0, 0.00,  0, 0,      0,    0, 0, 0, 7, 0, 0 //Aux1
point.8 = 2, -14.12,  0.0,  0.01, 1500, 0, 0.00,  0, 0,      0,    0, 0, 0, 8, 0, 0 //Aux2

Be sure and backup your .cfg and airfiles for all the C-185's you alter in case you want to return to the default settings.

Thank you all for your effords. The center of gravity dit not chance the weels. The chanche of the contactpoints did! Now I am using the ultimate_185 file from the Bushpound site. It is a little more "bumby" but the last few weeks landing was to easy for me. So I have another challence.

Wedge,
thought I would see if the advanced animation checked and/or unchecked made a difference with my copy of the Carenado Bush C-185 Tundra Tire model.  Remember I have a modified A/C.cfg and air file for this airplane installed so it may or may not make a difference in what I see but checked or unchecked there is no difference in the appearance of the tires in my sim.
