Addy,
after looking over the points in your post, comparing them to the original contact points in the C185 I downloaded from Carenado the figures are different. I know there have been some updated Aircraft.cfg and AirFiles that Carenado has made.
Now for the bump in the road. I have modified files for my Carenado C-185's. The do not make the tires look under inflated on my sim.
There are .cfg and airfiles available from the Bushpound site that will make the C185 fly almost exactly like the real airplane. One thing these files do though is to make the gear extremely bouncy and the points need to be altered to counteract that tendency.
I would download the ultimate_185.zip
From:
http://bushpounder.com/home/?page_id=74On that page click Aircraft, then Piston Aircraft, then
The Ultimate C-185 (FSX)(41.3 KiB)A read me file will explain what to do with the files. You have a zip file for each of the Bush C-185 aircraft.
I am going to copy and paste the contact points I have that dampen the bouncy landing gear. Use these
IF you modify the
airfile and .cfg file with the new files, other wise I would not touch the contact points you have.
EDIT:
I see Jeff just posted a reply that mentioned the center of gravity that the airfile in the download will alter among many other things.

Be sure and backup your .cfg and airfiles for all the C-185's you alter in case you want to return to the default settings.
