Which mod for default C152?
« on: June 08, 2021, 03:38:11 PM »
There are several mods available for the C152. Which one could you suggest?

Thanks,
Karl

I hear good things about the JP Logistics mod.

That's what I have: C152_JPLogistics (latest version is v0.9.9) which enhances/improves the default Cessna 152, providing a more realistic flight model and cockpit behaviors, more usable buttons.. better cockpit lighting... ... Now haven't really used the c152 that often but it is a nice fly.

For the bush flying we do, you might want to try the backcounty STOL version:

Ok, so this can coexist with the C152_JPLogistics mod?

Ah yes, the backcountry 152 and the default

Features:

- 5 extra degrees of flaps for a total of 35 degrees

- 150 horsepower engine to take off shorter!

- Better and stronger brakes

- Removed Co-pilot to save weight.

- Simulated Horton STOL Chamber Cuffs which lower the stall speed greatly allowing you to save more runway!

- Other Various revamps to make the aircraft more stol capable and ready to fly in the bush

Install Instructions:

Included in the download are 2 folders. 1 is named 'sj-cessna-152', this version is the default version of the plane and will overwrite the default Asobo Version. The second folder is named 'sjfly2-c152-backcountry' this version is the big wheel variant and acts as a standalone aircraft. They can be installed seperately or together.

And the JPLogistics mod would then go on top of that? Maybe I would have to make sure the alphabetic order is correct by renaming the folders?

I will try it out.
