Purchasing 3rd party addons on Marketplace

When an addon is available on the marketplace as well as the developers website which place would you purchase it?  Any comments and reasons behind them would be appreciated.

I get it from the developer. Reasons are:

- updates come late on marketplace
- problems with updates on marketplace
- supports developer
- updates mandatory? (not sure. But I surely can go back to an earlier version if I get it from the developer)

And encryption. Anything purchased through the marketplace is encrypted. Difficult situation for mods.

Thanks Kaha.  Good reasons all.  The reason I asked is I have found some developers hard to get help from at times,  Also the marketplace is convenient.  I was not aware of the encryption.  The developer it shall be.

Agree with Karl, I would not buy from the Marketplace.....and, you will find many offerings have free options.  The encryption was the absolutely a deal breaker.
