Hmmm ok... haven't used AP for a while on any aircraft but might give that a try on the BN2.

How does it "hand fly" ? Not interested in auto pilots!

It's behaves nicely on the yoke.

I want to get an Islander from Newfoundland via Greenland and Iceland over to Europe. On that flight I want to use the AP.

For those that have the L-19, the quick fix is Control E, that will start the plane automatically. Using the starter won't.  Other than that, nice plane and BlackBox is telling me that they are fixing things as fast as Asobo breaks it....LOL  I still think I will wait for the Twotter.

Yes, the Twotter is a must. But it is a turboprop. So the Islander is special. Being nothing else than a large piston twin GA it has something to it that makes me fly it again and again. Same for the F1 Islander in P3D.

I purchased the Islander, flew it a couple of times and now it's in the hangar, waiting for an update from Blackbox.

IMHO, the release version 1.0.0 is not up to par with a modded default aircraft. For example, it doesn't have a working transponder, the fuel capacity is off by at least 10 gal, there's low-res text in the cockpit (something I really don't like), and I believe mixture doesn't behave realistically (fuel consumption at different mixture settings).

I was told that Blackbox tends to release early, but will provide improvements and fixes over time. So right now I'm waiting for that.

The BN2 was up graded today, flys fine.  I don't know if the mixture is working..you really need a cylinder temp gauge to be able to set it properly and while a correct setting improves fuel use, it is not all that dramatic .

Blackbox is quick to notify customers of upgrades and this one comes right on top of the first release.  So far, so good.....a good alternative to the Twitter.
