As I today reviewed one of the books I own about flying in Alaska I want to show the list of my favourite books. There are many new members here who could be interested.
Also, please share titles you have read.
Thx,
Karl

Been reading "Bush & Mountain Flying" by "CC" Milne Pocock
(link:

)
and "Mountain, Canyon, and Backcountry Flying" by Amy L. Hoover and R. K. "Dick" Williams
(link:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1619547414/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
)
CC Pocock's book begins with exercises for getting to know your airplane, which is a fun way to learn in the sim. Hoover & Williams cover a lot of practical info, too, and introduce concepts like "Vcanyon" speed, which is the maximum airspeed that will allow you to safely execute a level 180 degree turn inside a canyon (slower = tighter turn). They also present short anecdotes to support the practical concepts, not all from the authors themselves, and discuss parts of relevant NTSB accident reports at the end of each chapter.
Both are definitely worth the price.
