Adjust cokpit view in MSFS

Hey Karl, your setup is getting pretty cool.  The new screen looks great! I love TrackIR with the pro clip. 

I am sure you will be hearing from Henry shortly.  I have attached my msfs TrackIR Profile xml settings. They are designed for a screen width that is probably significantly wider than your sim view since I use 3 22" screens side by side.  The width (not diaganol) from one side to the other is 55".  Feel free to try it if you like.

Thank you Rod. My 55" screen is 48" from left to right. But this actually is not relevant. The important criteria are the zoom and the aspect. With 3 screens you have an extreme aspect and you see far to the left and right.

The most helpful setup tutorial I've found for the TrackIR is this one from Jabbers, who's well known in the DCS community. I originally set mine up for DCS and the same settings work for MSFS.

For those who want a less expensive solution....there is a phone app (about $10) to use your smartphone camera along with TrackIR free software to offer near TrackIR experience without the big hardware purchase.  I also use a 55 4k monitor and you do have to do a bit of adjusting to get the TrackIR  sensor positioned correctly (or better stated, better positioned for optimum performance .

Got a hairband. My wife doesn't use them, so I had to get it from a shop. Some ladies stared at me when trying if it fits.

Thanks for the File Rod, I will give it a try as soon as I get home.  I have a profile that was created by someone (I forget who, but maybe the company) that has served me well but I am sure there have been improvements since then....too lazy to change.  I'll report back.

As a side note, the 55" 4k monitor is tall and the height requires some fiddling to place the sensor so you have full motion as it is above you when at the controls.  I am sure that your profile makes that problem go away!

I have adjusted my Track Pro so when my line of sight is to the middle of the TV the Tracker loocks upward to the camera that is positioned on top of the TV slightly to the left.

The distance from my eyes to the TV surface is 32".

I tried Rods.xml but it doesn't fit for me because of the deadzones. I attach mine, it's without any deadzones.

If you haven't already done so, you may find it useful to assign a button on your joystick to centering TrackIR. I also have a button on my stick assigned to pause Track IR.

Thank you Kurt! Yes, I have that. You always sit at a slightly different position and the headset (hair band) is not always placed the same.
