« on: March 15, 2021, 11:40:33 AM »
Hey Gents,

I just completed Leg 1 of Juneau Milk Run with Cigar Box and MSFS2020!

All worked well and I am glad to say I am back in business with the Misty Flying Club!

Cheers!

You were out of business. Oh My..lol.. Glad to hear you're back!! Carry on sir. (But note that you won't see rtmm locations made for FSX-P3D in MSFS and if any of these locations are designated landing locations you'll have to find alternate locations that are contained in MSFS for those landings. But now confirmed that FSUIPC 7.0.5 as well as FSUIPC v7.0.6 can set the cigar box connectivity for MSFS.  That is a huge bonus as we can now accommodate any version of FSE, P3D and now MSFS.

As luck would have it,  this the Juneau Milk Run is a circuit of well established airports so I think they should all be present in MSFS.  Just my luck that it would be my next tour! 😀

So glad to be be back in Alaska!

Glad to report I am back to business also. I will alternate flying with P3D and MSFS to finish MFC tours, switching to P3D when RTMM scenery airports/water mooring do not exist in MSFS. It is also good to fly P3D along with MSFS to appreciate the difference in scenery. MSFS scenery is more realistic but P3D scenery is more colorful and lively to me. Each has its own merit.

For sure Harry.. I was the same, but the more I fly in MSFS the less I want to ever fly in the older sims again. (More activity in MSFS with all the added aspects in this sim plus AI global ships package - all adds more real life visuals in every aspect).  Anyways, I will only go back to the other sim when it's required and only to fly those legs but the rest of the time will be in MSFS.

My old sim now resembles this in comparison to MSFS:

Yes, Amiga 500.

My first flight sim was on the Sinclair ZX-81, then C64 after that.

And at the time Norm, we thought that was awesome!  I wish we had some of the vintage scenery (as in WW2) made with todays technology.

If you purchased FSUIPC 5,or 6 for P3D at Simmarket; you get a $10 discount on FSUIPC 7.

Dumb me... I didn’t see that when I purchased version 7.  Oh well, they have done so much for the flight sim community, that doesn’t bother me so much.
