Misty hop #7 part1
« on: May 09, 2011, 10:02:53 AM »
thanks to everyone who joined me on thursday for the MP flight through the kidla pass and onto stewart bc. we had total of 6 players on the flight which is just great, and makes the landings and takeoffs very interesting. my picks of the flight 8-)

I like to start off at dawn,  its 7am local and we are ready for takeoff.

Here comes the sun ,do dolut do, and i say its alright!

Now thats what i,m talking about ,not 1 but 4 wingmen outbound from bella bella.

there is a nice little seaplane base up ahead we,re looking for on the way to the fjord that brings you to the kinsalt loging camp.

i think thats my friend steve to the north.

Looking for that seaplane base , its up here on the left somewhere.

now if i had just remembered to take a screen shot of it, lol atleast i got Jeff in his super trike ,spud in the maul on ski,s and my "our" new friend Todd "thend" in the carenado 185...sweet

now to find the fjord that leeds to the logging camp.

here it is and the sun is finally lighting up the place.

I had todd as my wingman for a while .

It had looked like a nice day was onhand but now i,m not so sure and we have some big mountains to cross.

and ofcourse here come the rain.

theres actually an unlisted strip up here from the orbx scenery.

Just keeping an eye on Todd , hey man you,re alittle close to those rocks.

here,s that unlisted strip

ad some tooth picks on a barge heading down river .

Kitsalt camp right ahead.

I was number to for landing after Spud.

After a quick break to strech the legs and refill my canteen, the misty squadron is ready to take on the Kidla pass.

Thats funny , i dident even notice those logging trucks on the way in.

the weather has certainly taken a turn for the worse.

Heading for the start of the kidla pass , i just hope that haze disappears or we wont be seeing much.

I was seriuosly panicing at this point..boulders and clouds dont mix well.

and fog obscurring the ground.

thank god , i can see again and the start of the pass is coming up.

and if the cieling stays like this we should be OK.

we,re in the thick of the mountains now.

lots of small glaciel ice fields around here.

thats it for now , i,ll post the rest in part 2 the kidla pass awaits.
