One problem now seems to be the mass supply of freeware, which is flooding the market almost every day. Often, however, these are only minimal "enhancements" - a few objects added here and there - that are produced en masse by committed MSFS users.
The extent to which this affects the payware add-on companies can only be assessed speculatively at the moment.
