EZ and RWY12 Libraries
« on: October 01, 2020, 10:27:09 AM »
Hello
I note RTMM Lib 1 includes the EZ Scenery and RWY12 libs.

I'm intending to install some African airports scenery that calls for the EZ_1 Scenery and RWY12_1 Libs.

My questions are:

Are the libs in the RTMM lib and the new scenery libs the same?

If they are, do I need to install the 2 libs separately for the new scenery or can the new scenery access the libraries in the RTMM package?

Thanks.

Yes versions of EZ_1 Scenery and RWY12_1 Libs (Capable of FSX/P3D DX10)( all updated for FSX native) are contained in the RTMM libs so as long as you have the RTMM Libs activated then they should be provide the objects needed for your Africa stuff.  (whereas if you use their EZ_1 Scenery and RWY12_1 Libs they may be older versions and may conflict with RTMM Libs if they are on, but might be ok for that Africa stuff if the RTMM Libs are off).  (Steve the RTMM Lib Master might know for sure).   Perhaps give it try both ways Gary but would go with the updated RTMM libs vs the older EZ & RWY12 stuff)

Also, keep in mind RTMM converted the EZ Scenery and RWY12 Libs so they would be in FSX native format.  The original EZ Scenery and RWY12 libraries were mostly in FS9 format and many would not display in P3Dv4 or v5.

In a nutshell, you're fine. Don't install any versions of those libraries alongside of libraries that are specifically labeled as FSXP3D or you will encounter all kinds of problems.
