It the weee hours of the mourning we meet at Sandspit , i was joined by my new friend sir spud and my newest friend jeff, glad you guys could make it.

wheels up heading out through the mist.

I,m thinking real weather might have been a bad idea.

heading for Yakhoun lake.

i flew right past it but found it with Jeffs help nice little place .

the mountains around here are supprisinly large and very step.

floats up and heqaded to Moresby logging camp.

we,ll find it just keep an eye out for patches of missing foilage.

Its in one of these lakes neastled amongst the hills.

Spud found this one first so i followed him in.

back in the air we head south to Jedway sea plane base.

Jeff went made a pit stop on this lake. he said this was jedway but it wasent ..somethings screwey with my flight plan , darn it.

thers the old ghost house and poluted cooper pond

I managed to land it in the small pondand coasted up onto the sand.

the derelect boat listing to one side.

Next stop Fairfax lake camp.

its like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

the west coast of this island is very steep right down into the water ,, look its seal rock.S.F.

come on spud find this place.

looking .

and looking we,re close.

I think spuds found it way to go.

see the rest in part 2 tomorrow...cheers wedge

Nice pics! Bates Air was always one of my favourite liveries in FS9.  Good to see it in FSX.

That was a lot of fun.  I hope to catch another flight in the future.  Thanks, Wedge, for hosting.

(Wedge's plane looked like a Cessna to me, and Spud's looked like a Maule.  I wonder what I looked like to them?  I flew in the Grumman Goose G21A-HP for most of the trip, then switched to the trike for the last segment.)

Started out as a 'flailing the air adventure' but once we sorted out the problems it went well from then on.  Due to the way FSX works every player must have the same Addon A/C in their install for non-default A/C to NOT appear as the closest default FSX A/C.  Thus My A/C appears as the default Maule wheeled version.  In actuality I was flying the Nor-Cal M-260 Amphibian.
Jeff was the only one flying a default A/C and he was in the Goose so to all of us he appeared in that A/C while Wedge and I were rather odd looking to one and all.
