Night time tiles?
« on: August 04, 2020, 10:53:55 AM »
Anybody see these "night time" tiles as they are flying in V5. Wondering if there is a fix for a setting?

Don't think so Doug... Think something is a tad messed up. You shouldn't have that.

If you can give me your:

sim time, date /season, Location will do the same (even the closest airport) and will see what the results look like here but suspect something is a bit messed up somewhere.

Next time I see it I will, Norm. I was flying up the Mississippi. But since, I've been playing with using MFC at RTMM with the waypoints and "charter" flights. Just flew the first one and it worked fine! When I see one of those again, I'll document where it is. (I've seen them a few times). A restart of the sim got rid of them. I'm betting it is a memory thing?

This is not a "memory thing"!
This is most likely a so called "texture morphing" what has been reported very often at the Orbx-Forum with v4 but is the same in v5.
There are many reasons.
- Insertion points correcty set?
- openLC in priority lower than all Orbx sceneries? If positioned correctly verify the concerned openLC.
- terrain.cfg could be corrupted

Maybe you could check the Orbx forum.
Many greetings

Try verifying your ORBX scenery file(s).  That worked for a friend of mine.
