Dead link report
« on: May 30, 2020, 11:39:06 AM »
I found a dead link in the trip ticket of Aiken Creek Camp:
https://www.return.mistymoorings.com/triptics/TripTics/aiken%20creek/trip_aiken_creek.php

It is the link for "Scenery needed:" in the Route Notes on the first page.

If I find things like that, should I report them further on? And is this the right spot for reporting?

I found it and fixed it (I Hope).  Yes, these are a PAIN to fix, but we want everything to work, so PLEASE keep them coming to us if you find a problem.  Check this one out and make sure it is OK.

A few more things I found:

Fillmore Cove Maintenance Log  link points to FedX Terminals Maintenance Log.

Fleet Bay Parts Dock Maintenance Log: wrong date (01.31.2010 instead of 01.31.2020).

Flying Beaver Lodge Maintenance Log: last change not logged.

Glacier Bay Tours Maintenance Log: wrong date (07.11.2020 instead of 04.11.2020).

Dead link to RTMM Waypoints Maintenance Log.

In this PDF file

https://return.mistymoorings.com/triptics/TripTics/owikeno%20lake/trip_owikeno_lake_trip_ticket.php

on the first page it says:

This is a trip ticket for a tour of the entire Owikeno Lake Scenery Area. To see a full overview of this area, click here. We will start at.....

"click here" is a dead link.

On the Scenery page:

https://return.mistymoorings.com/scenery/

this is a dead link.

It would not "link" for some reason. So it now "points" to the "R" section of the Scenery Page then you scroll down to RTMM WayPoints and the zip is there.

As long as we're talking dead links here ... my BWEP malibu repaint pic does nothing when hovered over or clicked on.  No link to the zip.  I've also produced the RTMM malibu, but don't see it posted yet.   :-\

Hi Jeff ... they are BOTH up there now. The thumbnails are a little "fuzzy" ... I had to blow them up to fit the page. If you'd like a new thumbnail, make it 358 by 178 pixels and they would look a lot sharper for the page.

 8)  Ok, thanks.  I've enlarged the thumbnails, and updated the dropbox zips.

See if they work, or if I need to include larger versions for you, or bigger thumbnails for the folders, etc.

(replace previous zips, of course) :P

Now, back to the "Dead Link Reports".  Thanks Karl for your attention to details.  Much appreciated.  :)

Doug

Actually when I click on the Way Points image I get a 404 for this link:

Karl, which waypoints image, the one at the top of the scenery page, the one under "R" for RTMM Waypoints or the one on the HOME Page, right column?
