I am not sure about 2020. Microsoft has always maintained their flight sim as a "game". I know that many (most) simmers are not pilots so the experience is what ever you want it to be. But for the licensed pilots, most if not all are looking for the experience they have had in the cockpit. Personally I never use a moving map, no GPS, no auto pilot and I fly as I was trained. As such, P3D is the closest thing to real flying. I wish that VR would have the solution of true 4k, and when it does, that may be the best of the best. So I have no interest in Microsofts new flight sim......remember they sold off their game, and they sold off their simulator and now they are back.....but not for me.
I said I would hold off v5, but the truth is we are all looking for the next adventure....so when it is released, I will buy and then see what, if anything is compatable. It will be eventually....and it's something fun to be working on while we all sit at home.
