Interesting. When I installed the new version I didn't see anything about an updated PNW. I already had the latest. Also, my insertion points didn't need to be reset. My FTX Central is v3.3.9.2

OrbX Central is new. It instaalls the OrbX stuff via xml, not the scenery library. It is not FTX Central.

OK, but the OP states that there's a new FTX Central.  I guess I didn't install a new FTX Central the last time I ran it after all. I rarely use or need FTX Central anyway.

Steve

Does this bloated monster replace FTX Central?

This is the current status:

- There is still FTX Central 3 that is running for some years now and can still be used without any restrictions.

- New release since 07/05/2019 is Orbx Central
https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/177272-orbx-central-has-now-been-released/
This is a completely new software.

You must not run FTX Central 3 and Orbx Central simultaneously which might cause severe problems.
Orbx Central will replace FTXCentral 3 in future.

My personal opinion and experience:
One should wait some time before switching to the new version.
Users are reporting different experiences at this time and you can read about problems and questions, asking for help hourly not only in the Orbx forum.
Once all problems are eliminated Orbx Central will be an excellent tool.
Many greetings
Dieter

I stand corrected.  It is now Orbx Central.  No more FTX.  Sorry for the mistake :-[

Like I alluded to in my previous post, this thing looks like its a case of classic bloatware full of unneeded garbage.

OK i recover my Tongass Fjord how i do
in my sceneries cfg they are 2 layers Tongass the 356 & 357
when i launch P3D a popup said  it don't find this layer area in scenery cfg  do you want unload yes or no

i said no for the 2 but nothing the elevation airport is wrong .

i dowload snery configurator with the java for installation
i open it after installing the 2 tongass higher & lower priority are in red flag ..
I edit the 2 tongass folder to the good path anther time and i run P3Dv4.5 after saving Scenery config .

all Tongass are nice now  ..

if i can help  somebody

So the insertion point it's always the same nothing  to adjust a level of priority

see you

Steve

It is a replacement for the FTX Central scenery manager.  It is an updated version.  It should be much better.  It has no "bloatware", only access to all of my Orbx products.  It brings the storefront into the Central program, instead of opening a webpage to buy new products.  That doesn't matter to me.  I already own all of them anyway.  But it will keep all of my scenery packages up-to-date.
By the way, I've just fired up my P3D for the first time after installing Orbx Central.  I have not had any issues so far.  My plane is sitting on the water at Hydaburg.  I did have many warnings about the FTX AI planes needing to have unique title names when I started.  But that is all.  Except for the insertion point needing to be reset, (is that an issue?) I don't know what other issues people are having.  I tried to find the forum threads discussing problems with Orbx Central.  But I didn't find it.  I set my insertion point and updated my scenery packages before starting P3D the first time.  Seems to work as intended.   :)
