I am afraid I just don't know what is causing your crashes.   I don't run FSX anymore so really tough for me to come up with any other ideas.

Thanks anyway, Rod.  Seem to be ok flying AK & BC.  Maybe I need to refresh my ORBX Global & Vector.  I'll keep messing around ;) probably end up screwing everything up ::)

If it crashes in the middle of certain flights in heavy areas it very well could be, and to way overly simplify, a graphics card memory overload issue. Do you ever see things in the distance that look like spikes in the air before the CTD?

It's also possible that your log book could be corrupted. I don't have time to run this down right now, but Google "FSX corrupt log book" and you'll get some hits.
