As stated right near the top of the home page, Acceleration is a requirement if you use FSX! Since you just installed it, this might possibly explain some of your other problems you've had along the way. Make sure you have all of the other minimum requirements installed as well.

The Redux instructions go into detail as to how to adjust light positioning as well as choices of lights. More reading to do.

There are bright lights, dim lights, white lights, red lights, yellow lights, blinking lights, slanted lights, rotating lights, beacons, navigational markers, cabin lights... have I missed any.  Sooooo many choices in the Redux 3D lights.  Also, there may be graphic or monitor settings you need to adjust for better effects.  I can only guess without a screenshot of what you are seeing.  Sorry your first impression of the lights is "dim".   ;D

Jeff

I reinstalled redux and WOW! the Goose looks fantastic at night. You were right, it was my silly mistake to install redux before installing Acc. I'm loving that landing light now! Thanks for your help.

Now, if I want to see the effect in the P3D Goose I guess all I have to do is replace the LIGHTS section with the FSX one in aircraft.cfg? If so, that's the procedure for any other aircraft in FSX that I use in P3D?

Thanks again
Josh
