Location of Emergency: Bearing from False Island is 225° for 18 miles.

Nature of Emergency: A cabin guest has injured himself with a chainsaw. Severe
lacerations. Time is of the essence. Pick up patient, one other person and dog.

Emergency Way Point: E025B
• Helicopter: From the helipad start on the “New Brad’s BB&B Barge” ICAO 2Z62,
moored at the town of False Island, fly for 18 miles at 225° to the cabin on Lake Suloia.
There is a small forest fire in the immediate area that must be avoided due to
unpredictable updrafts. Approach destination with extreme caution. Suggested
approach is from southern arm of the lake. A local fishing boat is anchored in
Bradshaw Cove at the southern approach and overheard the emergency call. The crew
has lit a signal flare to help you find your way into the arm. The cabin is located at the
NW end of the lake. Pick up the victim and transport to Tenakee Springs Trauma
Center at way point M028B.
• Float Plane Take off from the water start at False Island Misty’s Dock ICAO 2Z62. Be
sure to load the stretcher that is sitting on the dock. Bearing from False Island to Lake
Suloia is 225° for 18 miles, approximate altitude 3500’. There is a small forest fire in
the immediate area that must be avoided due to unpredictable updrafts. Approach
destination with extreme caution. Do not fly over fire area. This is a very small lake,
and due to fires, approach and take off should ONLY be made from the southern arm
