SIRP question?
« on: June 20, 2018, 12:44:49 PM »
both the old and new SIRP scenery are in the Scenery page.  I tried installing the new SIRP v3 and scewed up my sim quite a bit. Don't know it its because of both versions being in my scenery library or what.  Disabled the old version in the library but it didn't clear up my problems.  Any advice:

Hi Spud,
The new version requires you to completely remove any and all previous files related to SIRP.  You should now remove ALL scenery related to SIRP and rebuild your scenery library.  (also clean out your shader folder).  Then install the new SIRP 2.30 version and you should be fixed.

It's good to see you posting.  I've missed ya.   :'(  Hope you're feeling better.   :)

I've just introduced myself to the SIRP Scenery Configurator Lite, and am going out to check my scenery.  I've been on the FSX/P3d setting up to now, but just switched it to P3Dv4.  And I turned on "ice runways".  But to be honest, it was already damned slippery when I was there before.   :o

The iced runways of the camps can also be activated in the FSX / P3D.
They are also functional in the FSX / P3D, not only in the P3Dv4+ ...

It is then behind the plane (in the outside view) no more dust whirled up.
But ... it is very slippery then.
Best regards
Mike

Thanks for the confirmation  on the old files not being needed.  I had not removed them until I determined if the new scenery worked or not.  I have disabled them in the FSX scenery library and the new files work grest.  I'l now remove the CIRP files from the sim.

You, of course, mean SIRP.  Not CIRP.   ;)

LoneWolf: Refer to your maps: you sure don't want to get lost especially if your in a different set of ice fields..lol.. you'll never find your way out!! lol..

Speaking of Ice Fields.. anyone remember where the updated FSX Native CIRP Hovercraft and Stalwart might that work in P3Dv4? Wanted to take a trip in the SIRP!!! or was that the CIRP.. but in any event looking for the Hovercraft or Stalwt with the updated models for so there is no CTD.
