CYPU ON TOUR 7
« on: June 16, 2018, 10:08:45 AM »
Anyone else notice two runways divided by a fence at CYPU? One is about a thousand feet shorter and gravel the other concrete and twice as wide. Searched my scenery and only three ORBX files exist for this airport.

Yep, that's what all the charts and Wiki say. However my scenery tells a different tale.

lol...

Yes my CYPU is the same...  Now after a quick search ... Doug made addon scenery for it. so that's what we're seeing.

RTMM Scenery piece is:

Chilanko River Sales and Service by Doug Linn PF62 (Updated 06.24.2017)**
Land Start: N52 6.6429 ... W124 8.9462 ... Mag: 96.5
Water Start: N52 6.4611 ... W124 8.8526 ... Mag: 319

Chilanko River Sales and Service (or Chilanko river Floats) has an ICAO designation of PF62. At last, a place to purchase your new float plane, and a full service location where you can fly to and get the undercarriage changed from pontoons to wheels. Need skis? We've got 'em. We even have storage for you pontoons, skis or wheel gear while you are what you have installed.

You can land at our dock with a float plane. We will pull your plane onto a trailer and haul it up to the workshop where we can change out the undercarriage, then you can use the asphalt strip to take off and fly home.

The facility is located parallel to the runway at Puntzi Mountain CYPU. There is a shorter runway to the south of and parallel to the main 04/22 runway at CYPU. So landing and taking off, you will land on 04R and 22L of the small facility.

(Thanks Doug!.)

Well it doesn't look like the second runway is needed and you have to Taxi through the fence to get to the terminal. Maybe a relook at this airport.
