Flying houses
« on: June 06, 2018, 12:06:03 AM »
Last few days I've been flying around Ketchikan using some flight plans in the large pack.  PAKX shows houses and other things like cars way up in the air.  I have the Orbx products, Tongass, PAKT with update, the two Ketchikan harbor files installed plus all rtmm scenery.  No scenery products from anywhere else.  I have tried taking out the two harbor files but that doesn't help.

Can you folks pleas tell me of any other rtmm files in the area?  I'll try to take them out to see if that helps.  Thank you.

Hi Geezer,
Try reloading your scenery library.  That sometimes fixes it.   ;)

Win10Pro64, MSFS 1.25.9.0, P3Dv4.3.29.25520, AMD Ryzen7 1800X@3.6 GHz , 32Gb RAM, GTX 1080 Ti, 2x42" Vizio Monitors, HTC Vive VR HMD, Saitek Yoke/Pedals/trim wheel, XBox360 Controller, G27 steering wheel w/shifter+pedals. :P

Hi Doug, why is it important for mesh to be set to 5? I'm just curious (beginner here).

The scenery is created for mesh = 5. Think of it as leveling the playing field for objects. Mesh sort if controls the bump ess of a terrain. If a bump is in the wrong place, the elevation for the object is disrupted...in this case it flies. Let us know if this works for you.  And we are here to get you past the hardest part, beginning. From here on the flying just gets better and better for you! Welcome aboard.

Doug it looks like you are right.  I checked and the computer grinch went in and lowered my settings.  I've never seen anything like this.  I reset them and all is well.  Thanks very much.
