Landing Rate Monitor

 As to Brad's reference to the rule of no flights being accepted over 600 fpm in his "Casual Flying" post, there's a free app out there called "LRM" for Landing Rate Monitor. I used it when I was with AKA. It will instantly tell you your landing rate and maybe save you the trouble of filing a PIREPS. If it's over 600, don't bother. Here's the link.

Great program and it is wonderful for practice.  You will notice that there is a box in Cigar Box that will tell you your landing rate prior to filing your pirep.
