MFC0002 eddy
« on: April 10, 2018, 12:27:35 PM »
Not sure how this scenery showed up for others, but it does not for me in P3Dv4. Before I get the usual questions, the answer is yes. I have downloaded the scenery and installed it again. It shows in the P3D scenery library as active, but cannot be found for a flight plan. Anyone else experience this while doing that leg?

By your title, May I assume eddy refers to eddystone rock?  If so, Eddystone rock is Not an airport but scenery.  When you get there, you will see the rock.  Beside to save your flight because you can't get back there with the sim....Of course if this wasn't your question....then a little more information might be helpful.

The flight says 5KE to EDDY, which does not exist so no flight plan can be created? How about the flights have an actual AP that is either real or a part of the Misty scenery so we can make flight plans?

It is the RTMM scenery and schedule will load in Cigar Box.  I looked up the "map" from RTMM to find which fork the rock resides and off I went.  This one is dead reckoning all the way but using the documentation from RTMM you can't miss it.  Land near the rock, have a picnic and then take off for you next destination.

Are you flying the tour or are you doing this as a charter?  I will have to check the charter, but the tour works fine.

Eddy is only the ICAO identifier in the MFC system to identify New Eddy Stone Rock as an identifiable location. If you follow the FP in the tour DL -(which is flight plan MFCT00007-6A0) it will show you or lead you to the location of New Eddy Stone Rock.

Now if you don't use the DL or a FP, New Eddystone Rock is at lat -N55° 30' 11. Long - W130° 56' 17" if you want to find it.. (Not far from PAKT or PF20)

You can also find RTMM locations via the RTMM Go to Table (Under the Here2There tab and type New in the search box and it will show you the location of this special rock! - and that item also links to the the following map:

Thanks Norm for the Map, I wasn't in a place to post it at the time.  Hopefully all sorted out now.....I must admit, I had the same problem.  There will be another one in the not to distant future.....promise. LLWS !

Yep, but the flight plans, which I found, do help. Thanks.

Indeed - A hard task to find many of these non-sim RTMM POI.. but will try to provide all the necessary info in the MFC tour DL to help and Doug has the Go to Table just humming- It's packed full of information and map links to most of the RTMM locations.
