Norm,
William Butler, MFC Pilot #0105, completed Tour MFC0033 Sitka-Haida Gwaii-Port Hardy POI Excursion on 3/22/2021. In my mind you out did yourself on this Tour. It had it all-beautiful routes and locations, wonderful RTMM scenery, and challenging/enjoyable landing areas. Wondered if Dougs Outfitters is an actual location?
Continue to fly MSFS as my P3Dv5 needs attention and flying is a higher priority. Changes are coming for Dee and I as we move from our home in the Sandia Mtns. into a senior living community in ABQ. While I don't like the move I am enjoying planning my new simulator setup. I am considering replacing my 3 screen setup with single ultrawide curved monitor.
I enjoy MFC and appreciate your and Henry's efforts.
The best,
Bill
Sir William of Butler.. Thank-you for your kind words.. a fun tour to design and build and a fun scenic trip to fly. The completion award for MFC0033 Sitka-Haida Gwaii-Port Hardy POI excursion has been added to your pilot's page.
Now Doug's Outfitters .. well there is RTMM Doug's Outfitters- fictional
but there is a real Doug's Wilderness Outfitters in Montana-
http://www.dougswilderness.com/ Same idea I guess.. lol..
Now big news for you .. MSFS on the forefront. Very nice and a bit of a bonus.. tour 35 through 51 used mostly stock ICAO airports for departure and destination so you could use MSFS with MFC if you want to try (or stay with your fsx set up). The only thing is that you need at least the freeware version of FSUIPC v7, run as admin, and cigar box run as admin for MSFS and all should connect. (After flying in MSFS I find it very hard to go back to even P3Dv5. (If you need any help with your p3Dv5 just email and can arrange).
Big changes for you both as you prep to move from the Mts into ABQ. Much work to move and to change everything. Hope all goes well Bill (and Dee) and our thoughts are with you. (Ultra wide curved monitor sounds great!!) All the best regards to you both there in NM.
