William Butler Pilot #MFC 0105 completed Tour MFC0029 Valdez-Merrill Air Services on 11/15/2020.

I truly enjoyed this tour.  It was a wonderful way to see Alaska and a testimony to FSX, Orbx scenery, RTMM scenery, and your efforts. I have had to cut back flying the last two months as Dee had her second hip replacement operation and I was her nurse.  She is improving and I look forward to being more active in MFC.

Bill

P.S.  Failed to recognize RTMM Scenery in first posting.  Not an insignificant oversight I wanted to correct.

Oh Bill, didn't know the other hip was being replaced. Glad to hear that healing is underway and conditions improving. All the best in her continued recovery as you do the care. Welcome back and all the best to Dee (And to you too!). I did notice that you weren't flying as much and am glad you are still enjoy the MFC flight content. I guess some locations also bring back some memories as you resided there for a number of years.

The completion award for the Tour MFC0029 Valdez-Merrill Air Services has been added to your pilot's page. (Indeed this scenic area is one of the nicest to fly in Alaska).

Hello gentleman,

tour 36 is over.
What beautiful landscapes, with the snow which sprinkles the summits.
Still, the weather in your region remains really capricious ...
Superb trip.
a little question that we have already asked you many times:
Misty and Fs2020? is this going to work?
Thank you and good luck

Hi there Patrick. Yes we are moving into winter and it sure is evident north of the 49th! Snow sprinkles,  harsher weather but looks so nice. Your tour 36 completion has been achieved and the award added to your pilot's award page.

As far as 2020 is concerned there is already lots of addon scenery bush pieces out there for our "normal operating area" (flightsim.to) so then creating a FP and one can fly. (I spend quite a bit of time trying to design then build a VA new tour each month at MFC for our "conventional" sims)!

Now as for flying "2020" in a VA environment is concerned, would expect that it will come as 2020 is further developed. FSUIPC/ACARS has been the interface for previous sims but think that 2020 is a different breed of architecture. The FSUIPC7 still beta, does not provide proper connection to/from ACARS at this time so there is no functioning interface for the VA environment. Once there is an working/consistent interface from that sim to/from a VA environment then suspect it could be done.

Note: At present even as MSFS2020 still develops, more and more "2020" users/virtual pilots are flying trips online-together in a "multi" environment- I guess even more than "normal" especially due to the current "covid" condition of our world.  All to say-most serious simmers won't be abandoning their previous sims for a bit yet- but definitely not sure of the future of MSFS2020 in a VA setting.

That it was.  A missed approach with one pontoon hitting the surf just a bit. No damage done,😎

Thanks Steve... a very rugged trip for sure.  Now that was very quick tour done!!! (But then you do have a much faster video card these days so I guess everything is much quicker!! lol).   The award for your completed trip into Glacier Bay has been added to your growing list of award ribbons. Nice work.

November 25, 2020- MFC News Bulletin - *

Sir Danny Rice, (pilot MFC0009) just reached the milestone of 800 flights at MFC. Danny is back and in his helicopter continuing his quest of being in the MFC virtual air! So far at 800 flights and almost 800 hours accumulated at MFC, Danny is in the core group of VA pilots at MFC and in the top tier pilot's level.

Well done Danny and a sincere thanks for all your support, contributions and participation at MFC and here at RTMM. The MFC 800 Flights award has been added to your roster of award ribbons.
