MFC0045 was completed on 10/10/2020 by MFC0019. a couple of things about my choice of the B58 Baron, for most of the tour it was fine, now here comes the butt, at CA21 both landing and departing was sheer madness. I'm not even going to admit how many Barons I destroyed trying get in n' out of that strip In real life there is no way I would have attempted to take a Baron into that strip. That strip is strictly for Super Cubs and PC6's. The other thing that comes to mind was the view of Mt Shasta out of the windscreen, that was a WOW factor

Well sorry bout that Jim, I guess a 1700 ft x 100 runway is a tad short for a Baron..lol.I guess CA21 might have been better with a stol but it would have taken hours to get to the top of Mt Shasta in a stol aircraft. (Hmmm, guess we could have used an alternate airport.. but CA21 has a history. CA21 is Limberlost Ranch Airport, which is actually located in the town of "Rough and Ready", California, in Nevada county, 62 miles from of Sacramento.. The the town name fits for trying to land on the towns airstrip.. in a Baron.lol.
The town was found/used by a mining company during the California Gold Rush: Rough and Ready, The population was 963 at the 2010 census.. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rough_and_Ready,_California).

Anyways, so much for history. Your plane is still intact, and the award for completing the MFC0045 excursion has been added to your decorations. (Nice to have you back Jim.!)

MFC0046 is completed by MFC0019 on 10/19/2020. Really enjoyed this tour, took me to my old haunts in northern CA n' OR where I learned to fly in the real world and finished in Boise Idaho were I now reside. Couldn't resist flying down in the bowl at Crater Lake in southern OR. My folks used to have a home at Sun River and after they passed their ashes are spread out over East Lake n' Paulina Lake just to the East of Sun River, lots of memories on this tour

Nice area to fly for sure and glad that you enjoyed it. Sounds like some of those old haunts brought some nice memories back.  The award for completing excursion MFC0046 Rockies 6 (Redding Mun CA to Boise ID) has been added to your award page. (Which is very full.. but we can always fit another one).  Great work Jim.

Nice trip but yes that "capricious" weather can be very dangerous!! Nice run Patrick and the award for completing the Vancouver Island trip (Tour 34) has been added to your pilot's profile.

And PS: While you were flying this excursion, you reached a milestone of completing 400 flights at MFC so that milestone award has also been added to your pilot awards listing. Nice work.

Aye-Aye Captain Buddy, the completion award for MFC0017 TF Docks & Cabins has been added to your pilot's page. (Now get some warmer clothes and a thermos of hot coffee for the next excursion, MFC0018 Mission into Glacier Bay and perhaps have a picnic on a glacier! (but have an eye for polar bears!! Tis the season!).

Hello
Tour 35 is finish!
Tour 35 is not without dificulties due to the degraded weather conditions, but I think that in your regions this is often the case.
visibility was often very limited and at the end it was even snowing.
Otherwise this tour is like the ones already done, is really pleasant to do
cordially
