Hi everyone,
This is where we realize the importance of aviation in Alaska. Especially in this region where the lack of road is obvious.
I believe that the inhabitants of the small villages were very happy to see me bring them their supplies. In all cases, tour 21 is done
Thx a lot again and let's go to the Aleoutians  ;)

Aye Vincent, you have completed Tour 21 from the end of the Yukon at Sheldon Point down the coast to King Salmon and you have received the award decoration.  Nice work. As you continue in this voyage, you will be heading to Kodiak first, then following that segment you'll have to load up some supplies before heading out from Kodiak to explore the Aleutian Islands.

Bonjour Norm,
Are you sure of what you are announcing? It seems to me that I cannot go to Kodiak before going through the Aleoutiennes. On the "tour center" page, this is so. Finally I think ....... Can you confirm it before I pack my engines ..... thank you

Yep your right.. you just did 21.. now you're on 22 to the Aleutians, then in 23 when you're back from the Aleutians and will explore Kodiak Island. Then in 24 heading eastward back to the mainland to Wasilla. So pack lots!!

OK  MFC0036 completed by MFC0019 on 4/29/2020. At least I think it was. The cigar box said it was submitted and I guess on the tour page it's not going to show there. It showed on my pilot page, pirep page as flying it twice, which is strange I only flew it once. Still trying to wrap my head around this new normal

Not normal at all. Bids are down - and as such, the tour system which relies on the bid system and  incorporates the tour legs and status in the tour is not functioning without the bids. The single flights in lieu of the tour legs can be flown cause I set them all up for each tour but they are not actually part of the tours or the tour status. But at least I can track this stuff and manually issue tour awards if/when required.

So Norm you now have to manually do the approval for our badge and do we have to let you know when we complete each leg or just the tour is done

Yes you are correct Jim.   Just fly the single flights - and when done the last leg of a tour just yell at me - ie: Pilot, Tour # completed (date). I'll verify and manually add the award to the pilot.

(It works like this: between the tour status that we have (up to the time the bids went down), plus the remainder of legs that are flown as single flights will make up the completed tour. I will have to manually award the pilot with the award. Not a problem to do but with so many flying it is not practicable for me to try to keep track.

When the bid system is restored (and we'll test) the corresponding auto-award issue feature should again function but will let everyone know here in this forum.

So in the mean time, all charters and all single flight system tour legs or single flights RTMM routes can be flown by simply inputting of the flight number it.  (To be able to do this: Start Cigar Box >>go to the Main tab >> Settings >>  tick "Search by Flight Number"    Save.   Your done.   (See attached pic below).

Now you can enter a flight# in the flight Number box < Get Flight Data and the flight will load up. Fly and file as normal.

NOTE: Again, if you're flying a tour via the single flights, please just let me know pilot name/ID, tour completed and date so I can ensure you are awarded and I'll keep track of it all here in this forum.

Norm

PS: Thanks for the reminder Jim to let everyone know this awards piece which is bases on the tour legs being flown by bid, the tour status and tour progression and the auto awards issuance - all of which is a direct result of the bids system being down.

OK short n' sweet flight, MFC0037 by MFC0019 on 4/29/2020. For giggles I tried the G21 Goose with the Turbo conversion, It'll take a few flights with it to get any consistently

Tour MFC0036 yes. ll. . I got it Jim..lol. Turbo conversion Goose? Like a Super Goose? lol..

The award for Tour MFC0036 has been added to your pilots jacket. (but soon we'll have to give you a bigger jacket cause we starting to run out of room to hang your awards on the current one! lol).  Nice job Jim.

This conversion gives you a pair of PT6's to hang on the goose, With 75% torque and 95% on the RPM it keeps you under the VNE. In looking at the pkg remember it's freeware

Norm that was MFC0037 that I completed with the Turbo Goose, MFC 0036 was with the C206 Amphib. I know with all that's going on it must be getting hard to keep everything straight

OK  just wanted to make sure I was doing right. One thing I might add I don't know why it's showing the C185 because I loaded the Goose on last five legs
