There is a double Pirep in my Logbook KLAX to KVAX due to persisting trouble with the cigarbox
The dup pirep has been removed: thanks Thomas (I usually see any dups and remove them but did miss that one).
Note for all: Cigar Box/site is sluggish in the ping back or acknowledgement of the pirpe having been received because there are so many pireps in the system now and it is necessary for continuous complex calculations to generate and maintain all of the pilot's and site's records: from hours to # flights to logbook to landing rates, to award issuance plus all the calculations of the other metrics found in the top pilot's module - for each pilot.
All to say - If you ever get a time out or try again you don't usually have to re-try: just take a peek on the site and most times your pirep has made it to the site in less than 5 seconds- and it's just the ping back via cigar box as the confirmation that is slow and over it's set mili-seconds timeout interval. So if you get a time, just check the site for your pirep and iff you see your pirep on the site (You usually will), just disregard any error notices in cigar box because your pirep has already been sent to and received by the site. (We were trying to increase the ping back duration in Cigar Box but unable to since it is a separate module, so for now we have to live with the time out or try again pop-ups in Cigar Box.
Now, to the excursion MFC0039. You are the 1st to complete this latest/current road trip! This excursion kicks off a new series of excursions that take us outside our normal operating area: new piloting experiences and a nice change of scenery with many new world POI to be explored.
The award for completing excursion MFC0039 Bowerman WA to San Diego CA has been added to your full listing of MFC awards and now your less than 20 hours away from reaching 500 hours. Great job Thomas.
