EZ1 zip for border lake?
« on: November 22, 2017, 03:06:53 AM »
I am in the process of installing sceneries and came across this EZ1 zip file reference but the link given is not valid. Is this an old thing? Not sure what to do here. Thanks

Do you really mean EZ1.zip?  If yes, this one is outdated for many years!

Only use the RTMM required libraries from here:

Many greetings

Thanks. I am learning! Be cutting teeth for awhile with the size of this. First thing I did was install the object libraries and now I am in the slow process of adding sceneries and will work out the flight plan files and all of that after. Dispatch flights! Most of the sceneries have ben straight forward there are just a few I am running into that I want to be sure what I am doing so I do not screw anything up. Really appreciate the help. The scenery is outstanding and so are the members of this forum. I can see having fun with this for years to come.

Hi BeaverPilot74,
Where did you see that referenced?  Maybe we can do something about that? ???

Unfortunately a lot of the older scenery read me instructions are are slightly outdated when it comes to the needed libraries that make RTMM work. This can, and often does, lead to confusion for newbies Ideally they need to be gone through and updated, but the task would be monumental, to say the least. As Dieter points out, always use the official RTMM libraries when using or scenery. (The old EZ libraries were updated to be compatible with both FSX and P3D are part of our libraries.) Sorry about the confusion.

EZ Libraries? I have just been going through the list under the sceneries tab, downloading, unzipping and putting things where they need to go a few at a time. P3DV4 FS ADDONS RTMM folder. Sometimes a sound or FX but most are general and are already there after the first few that one does. The AI is my challenge but just did Halibut Cove and I think I got it. That one took some plodding lol.

Hi ... take a look at the new Getting Started/Installation page, there is a lot of new information there and a step by step procedure which may help you, including folder placement, etc.
