BWEP AI question
« on: November 21, 2017, 02:30:29 PM »
the install says to put the ADE files in addon scenery but P3D only has FSADDON and where my TFX and RTMM lives. I have all of my RTMM sceneries inside this RTMM folder. Now, ADE files are in my FTX Global Scenery folder so do I put these here instead? Traffic files I have not dove into yet. I had issues with TFX and found the fix to modify the few aircraft so as not to get CTD. I really do not want to have a ton of RTMM AI CTD also to try and fix. Anyone?

I think we all do this a little differently ...

My setup for V4 is:

S:\P3D_V4
     Addon Scenery
          RTMM Misty Moorings
               RTMM locations
          Scenery
               ADE files
          RTMM Object Libraries
               Library Folders

ADE files can reside in any scenery folder.  I find that it's best to keep them together so you know where to
look if a glitch appears.  A carryover from the old days is:   Drive\Sim\Addon Scenery\Scenery.

ADE files are airport construction files.  They should be in the scenery folder of the airport they belong to.  The ADE file name should include the name of the airport, or ICAO code in it.  They can be placed in the scenery/global/scenery folder, scenery/world/scenery, or Addon Scenery/scenery folder, but that physically separates them from the files containing the surrounding scenery objects of the airport the ADE defines.  It will work, but is not ideal.   (my 2 cents.)
