Hi John,
I wouldn't think the executable is corrupt.  More likely a flight file is corrupt.  Rename your FSX.cfg to FSX.cfg.off, and see if the sim starts.  It will rebuild a new FSX.cfg file.   ;)

Can also be a corrupt logbook. Do a google search on that topic. I used to have a utility that would repair it, but it went into the ether some time ago.

It says the faulting module is "UI.dll".  Do a Google search for "Fault Module Name:   ui.dll"

Jeff, I read a few forums about UI.dll.  Wonder if you could send me a good copy of it?  It's in the root folder, if you still have Acceleration.  Hoping that might work  :-\

Hi John

What operating system are you using. I hope Jeff's ui works for you if not try reseating your memory boards I am trying to find out about the   Exception Code:   c0000005 /  Exception Offset:   0003c963 and decode the offset part to see what is going on. The exception code would suggest a memory problem the exception possible being the actual location its trying to use.

Nb. I'm was not a computer engineer but was a network engineer on mobile and fixed line telephone exchanges so have a bit of an intrest in decoding these error messages for old time 's sake

Yep, I didn't think anything was wrong with the file.  Something caused it to crash.  Need to find out what that "something" is.  Find out what UI.dll does, exactly.   What were you doing before the problem showed up?  ???
