links to boats
« on: July 03, 2016, 07:25:41 PM »
It's Summer again, so time for some nice boat trips. I already made some of the RTMM river runs, but I lack good boats; especially the small ones that work best on this kind of trips. I am now using the Donzi Powerboat, but it is to powerfull to make the subtle steering needed on the rapids. Anyone knows links to where I can find good quality pilotable boats, freeware or payware? I know Deltasim, SOH, FS shipyards, but I would like to find some new sources.
Cheers
Marcel

There is the TUG in a scenery of ORBX and an other in the folder of a scenery ORBX

one here : X:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 or v5\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_AA_CAG8\Extras

And for the TUG i don't remind where is it in scenery /extra , from ORBX ..
May be some RTMM's members said where is it ..

Hi Patrick,
In that location I have the Pilotable Pleasure Craft Angelfish.  I have never seen this before.  It is in a zip file, just waiting to be discovered.  Since 2017.   ::)

Yes, the Angelfish is included in ORBXs CAG8 freeware.

OK, I am looking at it now.  Ha ha ha, you call that a "pleasure boat".  Patrick was right, it is a tug, or houseboat of some type.  Also, there is no virtual cockpit.  Only 2d view.  ewww!  I'll keep the Malibu, thanks.  They are calling it a "powerboat", but it cruises at about 8-12 knots.  My masted ship goes 15 knots, just by wind power.

(There is one gauge I have to download and install.)

After testing it, it is not bad for what it is.  It goes much faster than the documents suggest.  I got it up to 38 knots.   ;)
