You should see the videos he has of this stuff! Barb and I watch it every Sunday night after one of Dan's flying weekends. For the record, this is NOT something he learned from me! :-)

14 total so far.   3 tandems, then 11 (out of 18) for the training program.   I need 25 to get my A-license.

It's really a lot of fun, and challenging.   I love it. :)

Very neat!  Assume that the "A" license lets you jump solo....just guessing....

Yep.  It's a 25-jump minimum to get the "A" License, in addition to passing tests and demonstrating maneuvers in the air.  The last couple of jumps I'll actually be alone without my instructor most likely.   I'm doing what's called the "Skydiver Training Program," which is a more involved training program than the typical 7-jump Advanced Freefall classes.  I prefer the more in-depth course since it really drills in maneuvers and important safety procedures.

Once you have your license, you can officially jump solo at any USPA dropzone without an instructor or coach.  It also bumps your allowed-time-between-jumps to 60 days (from 30).

After 50 jumps (and some tests/training/classes) you can get your "B" License which opens up crazy stuff like night jumps, jumping out of hot air balloons, and helicopter jumps.  B bumps your currency requirement time out to 90 days.

Love it! Great form too. Skydiving will be a lot of fun.

Keep us up to date.
Thanks! LOTS of room for improvement on my basic freefall arch, but tracking felt great.  Will keep ya updated.  :)

It depends on how busy it is, how much daylight there is, and if the weather is cooperating.   On a perfect day, the most I've seen so far was 8 or 9 loads I think.  That should start increasing as we move towards summer.
