Mesa Lake Cabin
« on: February 16, 2016, 06:43:30 PM »
I was looking at the latest Notam's today. I than went to the scenery page and downloaded and installed the Mesa Lake Cabin. I did the flight to the cabin. While there I noticed an issue I'm not sure how to fix it, nor what causes this issue. I'm adding a screenshot of the location.

I installed the cabin as a stand alone, which was in the scenery page lineup. I did not have the cabin installed previously, before today. I've never seen an issue like I'm seeing in the screenshot provided etc.

I'm using FSX Gold Edition with Acceleration.

I guess I can re-download and install Mesa Lake again, to see what happens.

GreyRider,
did you download and install the Legacy Collection? Mesa Lake is part of that download and will result in duplicate files if you have the Legacy installed.

What other FSX addons are you running? (Looks like a possible errant texture.)

Spud.

No. I never have used the Legacy Collection in my FSX.

Ualani. I'm not sure what you mean by other FSX addons I may have installed. However. I have no third party addons installed, other than all the ORBX payware  and freeware products/Most of the RTMM installs and most if not all the OZx addons

If I'd do a search of my FSX, what errant texture should I me looking for, or what texture name should I put in the search box etc?.

The RTMM Mesa Lake Cabin, is the only addon that has this issue.

Dieter.

Great screenshot. I like your water texture color. How do or can I get the same water coloring?. I do use the FSWater Configurator tool. I'm not sure what other program I may need to use.
If your screenshot is in summer season. Yours sure looks a lot different and better than mine. I kind of thought you were using Sim P3D etc.

I am using FSX Gold/DX9 as you use etc.

@GrayRider
I have FSX Gold/DX9 and I don't use the FSWater Configurator tool (which is excellent, of course).
Screenshot is taken in summertime. For water and clouds I'm still using the very old Flight1 software "Flight Environment X".

To your problem:
You might have Instant Scenery? If yes, you should possibly be able to name this strange object.

Many greetings

Taking a better look at the screenshot, it's a transparency issue with a tree placed there. Why George has it and you don't is the question, although the screenshots were made from different angles so it's hard to compare 1:1. I haven't checked it myself.

Good point Jeff. It is definitely a transparency issue with that tree object that may be coming from an old unsupported library.

George, do you see the same thing when you pan around that tree?
