Thanks Patrick,
I found that last weekend.  I attempted a rollback, but I may have gotten the wrong driver for my card (amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-with-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit).  I don't know.  It didn't work, so I went back to the latest beta available (15.201.1151.1004-150929a-294965E-ATI).  I can wait a little while.  No hurry.

Here is an interesting DX12 review of AMD vs. Nvidia graphics cards by AdoredTV, one of my regular YouTube subscriptions.  I am thinking of an R9 FuryX now.  ;)  He said my card is four years old now.   :'(

I wasn't sure if the video was speaking English for about 30 sec. but realized that it was but very very difficult to understand what he's saying.   :(

Gentlemen,
I need to interject a comment on this subject.
ORBX (JV et al) has clearly stated that ORBX will not offer ANY support for ORBX software ported to P3D V3 using any method other than new installers which ORBX will provide ASAP.  Port ORBX with a migrator or work around and your on your own as far as support is concerned.
ORBX has already put out Global v1.4 and EULC v1.2 with the new P3D v3 installers.  Don't let the McDonald's syndrome cause non-support in case of trouble.

When you start FTX Central it will display a red "1" telling you that there is an update to FTX Global Base to v1.4.  IF you do not have P3D v3 you do NOT need this update as it is just the new installer for P3D v3 and a modification to the manual.

You can remove the big red "1" from Central by opening:

FSX\ORBX\User Documents\Versions  open the FTX_GLOBAL_BASE_PACK.txt

and change it to read:

FTX GLOBAL BASE PACK - Version 1.40 September 2015

Now the red "1" is gone and the 'Installed Products' function of the 'Tools' menu will report that you have v1.4 installed.
Just be aware that if you decide to goto v3 of P3D you need to get the new installer by downloading the Global file and then the report would be truthful and your P3D Global Base Pack will be supported by ORBX.
Later,

Spud

Ha ha.  Hey guys, that is just a scottish accent.  I watch his videos all the time, and have become accustomed to it.  Never had a problem understanding it.   :o

The Orbx "support" warning reminds me of the last time we upgraded P3D.  I don't go to the Orbx forums myself, only buy stuff they make.  I am my own support. ;)
