b) there are two .bgl with the same name in two seperate scenery folders (library_ez-ga hangers ss.bgl)
FRF-KMSPv5 and FRF-KEYW sceneries. There is also another bgl library_ga hangars_ss_vol_2_v1.bgl These bgl's remain in their respective scenery folder.
Hi BBQSteve,
This post is simply to help you find why you might have had the black texture. Here is simple set of steps that I would use to debug the problem after making sure the hangar is still displaying as a nice blue hangar:
Disable the EZ Scenery LibraryFSXP3D scenery library entry and check to see which of these is true:
a) Hangar has disappeared completely
b) Hangar is there but has a black texture
c) Hangar is there and is still blue
If answer is a, then don't go any further, re-enable the EZ Scenery LibraryFSXP3D scenery library entry and just leave all as is while chalking it up to a strange FSX anomaly.
If answer is b or c then the hangar object is probably being pulled from one of the two FRF library_ez-ga hangers ss.bgl files that you mentioned. Next step is to disable each one of those two libraries (one at a time) by adding .off, while keeping the EZ Scenery LibraryFSXP3D scenery library entry disabled. When the Hangar disappears, then you have found the library that is supplying the hangar object. Next step is to make sure that library's scenery folder also has a texture folder
in the same parent folder and that the texture folder has a ga hanger SS 3a.bmp or ga hanger SS 3a.dds file in it. If anything is wrong, you will need to fix that or check back here.
Once done, don't forget to re-enable the EZ Scenery LibraryFSXP3D scenery library entry and remove the .off from the library file. Let us know how the search goes....
