Newest Object Lib. Tester
« on: June 14, 2015, 04:56:29 PM »
I installed the latest Object Library tester today.

All objects are there, including the orange smoke. One item I am missing is, the regular smoke effects from the two chimneys on object #9. Which is on the New Brads B&B Bait and BBQ Bldg?.

When I put myself at PANT. The chimney smoke isn't present, as seen in RTMM's screenshot.

Any ideas how to get the smoke to show up, or what smoke file I may be missing and where it's located etc.

THX

Hi GrayRider,

Check your FSX/P3D Effects folder for the file named fx_VentSteam.fx.  That is the effect being used.

Rod.

I'm missing the fx_VentSteam.fx in my FSX effects folder.

Where can I find it or get it?.

ualani.

I added the fx_VentStream.fx effect. It does show up when I go to PANT. While I was at PANT, something else took place. For some reason. About six feet above the # 1 object. I'm seeing a black square box with a number 1 in it??. This showed up after I added the missing smoke effect. I did take a screenshot of it. I'd have to e-mail it to someone that can look at the screenshot. I have no idea why or how the black box got there etc.

This just isn't my day.

Take the screenshot and post it here so everyone can see it. Check the "attachments and other options box" just below the reply box and browse to your saved screenshot.

I don't know why it's not showing up. prior to this. I did replace the RTMM medical Libraries TEMP with the most current one.

George,
It isn't you. It looks like something was accidentally put in the newest tester. It shouldn't affect anything other than the tester.  I'm sure that Doug will fix it.

The big black no. 1 showed up in the latest tester for me too so its a glitch in the download I assume.

Just had a thought (I know, I know, that's dangerous) but perhaps it was put there to point out which test object was Number One????   :)
Although most places count from right to left ya just never know????  ::)
