Quest Kodiak on Sale
« on: May 25, 2015, 08:47:44 AM »
Hi ... If you are looking for a great Amphibian/wheel/float plane for $12.60 US, the Quest Kodiak is on sale right now at Simmarket. It even has a medivac mode that gives you a patient on a stretcher in the cabin. Been flying it for a few hours and really cannot find anything wrong with it.  Maybe sometime someone could give us a Misty "paint" for it.

Thanks for the 'heads up' Doug. that's too good a deal to pass up.

Doug, do you have a link? I'm not seeing that particular plane on sale at their site.

One of my favorites as well.  A MM paint would be awesome!

Hello folks,

I stumbled across the Kodiak (prior to the sale unfortunately :( ) and did a few flights around New Zealand in her.  Posted a review to YouTube here if you're interested:

Great performing bush plane, but I can relate to Anthin above - I too can't get that excited about the G1000.

Great video, thank you for posting.  I'm having probs with this aircraft in the amphibian version. It seems to have no braking landing in water..No drag. You can stop it by lowering the gear into the water. Also it charges forward even tho I have richness control to auto. It doesn't seem to float correctly, pontoons driven when power down, then lifting radically when power is applied. I enjoy the plane in the wheeled configuration, but it doesn't seem to be a very good float plane. But landing in water and a mile later still at takeoff speed is disconcerting on a lake.
