Hey folks,

i just downloadet all RTMM Scenerys from the website. Is it right that i have to add every singel Scenery manualy in to the Libary?

Or is there a way to put all the Stuff in only one folder?

As painful as it may seem, it's recommended that you put each scenery in it's own unique folder. The reason for this is that there's often updated version releases to scenery areas and deleting the old and adding the new will insure that all of the old files are deleted and properly replaced. And if you do this properly when the time comes to exchange old for new, you won't even have to change anything to your scenery library areas' configuration inside of your sim.

Sorry, it's been asked before so don't take this the wrong way please. We don't recommend trying to grab everything at once and install it into a single folder. Why you may ask? Troubleshooting. You may have issues and if you can't identify where your problems lie because everything is in one large hodgepodge, we won't be able to assist as well and it'll take more time to nail things down. Individually installed, you can help track down location specific files, etc. But that's the technical side of why.

Because we spend a lot of time making these places individually and not collectively and we want the user to experience these places individually, not collectively. We want you to start with "Misty's Place" first and foremost. That's the home base and should always be the first place you get to on this trip.
Next look into our resources and discover what we offer, where it's located in the grand scheme of things, how you can enjoy different way's and means to visit these locations, and then go plan a trip to find a location or two nearby that you want to check out. So you've planned the trip and picked out a spot that interests you. Great.

You took the necessary steps to install each of our required libraries of objects and that's been confirmed by the object library tester too I hope. Now install the location you want to visit. Please read the readme file for that location. Hey! There's a short narrative that describes a lot more about this place in finer detail. You can't get that with an all in one package. Well you can but we don't feel like writing 300 different scenery stories in one huge readme file.

So you're able to focus on ONE spot to go see. Not a Dozen. Not at this time at least. You're going to be able to eventually and that's the point of all this. Take your time and let your collection build up to where you have everything installed and you've been able to branch out and become familiar with the area you're in. You'll start knowing the names of islands and peaks and other nuances especially if you use Doug's Trip Tickets. These are great tools to use to become familiar with where you're at.

If you just grab 10 places, then go fly to them you might completely miss out on other things that we put in just for you to experience and that's only going to be discovered if you take the locations individually and experience them that way. Like "Nassie". Or Eagles that visit a nearby nest. Or a pod of "Orca" in a feeding frenzy just off shore of the island that cabin you had to have is at. Or even the "Orca" boat under attack from "JAWS". Yes, all of these and more are just the little touches that have nothing to do with the destination. But are on the way, nearby or just around the corner.

So take your time, fly low and slow and look around. If you've read the narrative and used a Trip/Tic, you'll know what we are all about better and can appreciate the effort more that went into this project. Having an all in one package is not how we want users to experience this place.

Although we do offer the "Legacy" package for you to get your feet wet with and that's a great starting point. It does include more than one location and is an all in one installation. Start there and then move on.

Can't say this enough. Thank you for being interested in RTMM. Take the time and enjoy it slowly. It's better that way.
