I don't know if this has been brougt up before.
I just discovered a very nice freeware weather engine: FSXWX
Very nice rendering of weather, and on a long flight no patches with Sunny wx when the metar says different.
Functions well with online flying (tested with IVAP) and gave very nice low ceilings and turbulence in rtmm aerea.
Worth a look I think. The instructions on the website are excellent.
