Kennecott Mine

Flew the Kennecott Mine from Last Resort (Bear Island Airstrip) FP and noticed on Plan-G that it was near two McCarthy airstrips (AK31 and 15Z). Anyone who watches 'Edge of Alaska' knows about McCarthy. So I researched the Kennecott Copper Mine and sure enough, it's the same mine featured on 'Edge of Alaska'. Looks to me like it's part of a National Park so the idiot on EOA who plans on making a killing doing tours at the mine is probably SOL. Anyway, here's a sim shot and a link to the real Kennecott Mine. Pretty interesting.

That was a tricky one to build. In another runway is very short, that it can be a lot of fun when you are flying to it from last resort.  There are several things to find in that scenery set, including some distant campgrounds and cabins.  It is an interesting area to fly around. Last Resort has a NDB so you can fly "off" of it to find many of the places nearby.
