HangEmHigh area
« on: January 10, 2015, 05:05:40 PM »
HangEmHigh area.

I may be having an elevation issue.

Just before getting to the HangEmHigh location following the flight plan. There is another RTMM Addon, which is some kind of logging camp so to speak. It is the Dora Bay Log Transfer Facility (Dora Bay LTF)

Anyay. There are two large platforms in the water, that have yellow cranes on them for loading/unloading.

These platforms for some reason are in the air above the water line. So I may have an elevation issue, but hot sure.

I am sitting in a float plane by these platforms. Could someone go to the location, to see how/if the crane platforms are above the water line?.

To me the platforms should be sitting on the water etc.

The coordinates are as follows:

LAT: N55 13.47
LON: W132 14.52

LAT: N55 13.42
LON: W132 14.47

Both platforms are pretty close together.

You are right, thoise platforms at Dora Bay LTF are in the air above water line.
The worker on the juge log float is swaying in the air, too.

Update: There was a barge under that platform(s).  The barge object no longer appears, probably lost in the scenery library conversions, so I have put a new structure under the "floating" platform. The update is on the Scenery Page, under "D" for Dora Bay Log Transfer Facility. The log float beside the platform was lowered to the water, and the man was lowered with it. There was a smaller barge under this structure, it too is gone. All fixed.

Thanks Doug.

The only other thing I did see. The log float beside the platform where the tug is, that was lowered, is flickering pretty bad. The flickering is constant?. The platforms are now ok.
The other log floats around the platform are ok. I don't know what causes flickering of any object, so to speak.

Download again and take another look, I changed the elevation on the floating logs slightly. It isn't flickering for me ... so I can't tell if there's a difference.

Thanks Doug.

The tweak you did, took care of the flickering I was having on the log float beside the platform, by the tug boat.

Doug,

Not to hijack this thread but looking at your picture, it looks like you need the latest cloud update from Lockheed Martin for Prepar3D. I see a lot of vertical clouds and they have issued a patch I believe that addresses those.

Might want to look into that.

Darn, I thought those new clouds were something special that came with V.2.4 :-)  Off to the patch, thank you folks.

Update: Darn, all my vertical clouds are gone! :-)  That was an easy patch.

Yep and there was an issue with rotation on horizontal clouds after the vertical fix but I think the latest patch addressed that too. At least it did for me.

Keep an eye out on that thread as it has a lot of information from others and their experiences.

I also recommend the latest REX product "Soft Clouds". For us down low and slow, it's perfect. Now back on subject. Sorry. :P

Do you put that on top of OPUS or do you get rid of OPUS?
